When immigrants decide to cross the border, they are afraid but they are also glad to begin a new life in better conditions!

But when they are in the USA, we can see that much people come back in Mexico!

It can be strange because they try everything to live in but when they live in they return to MEXICO.

Maybe it can be strange but it’s easy to understand! Immigrants are for the majority far from their family (stay in Mexico). They miss their family!  

Also, because of the racism, the xenophobia, immigrants want to go away and return to their own country!

The two mains reasons are family reasons and nostalgia. You can see it on the picture which represents you why immigrants return in their country!

When immigrants arrive to their ultimate goal, which is the USA, it’s just the beginning. Of course they have already did a huge part of their new life but it’s is nothing comparing to what they wait for.

Immigrants are the target of racist person. Most of people and mainly pure American are against the immigration. It is a kind of joke because all the Americans come from the immigration.

We can ask ourselves, who is American?

Immigrants are judged by this kind of person who considers that they are just poor people, undocumented people and alien.

For them, they have to go away. They have to come back in their country.

They are not accepted by population.

 On this picture, you can see another form of rejection. You can see mexicans ( who arrived  legally into the USA)  manifested against the illegally immigration ! 

Immigrants who arrive in the USA are also confronted to the language barrier. It’s important to speak the language of the country where you are. And when it’s the fact, it’s rude to integrate yourself. Lot of immigrant doesn’t speak English! For their, it’s more difficult to for example find a job.

The other bad aspect of this barrier is the community. Mexicans are used to regroup between Mexicans. They are close to other people and they contain themselves! 

In this article, I ‘m going to talk about travel’s condition.  I think you have already heard some informations about immigrants travel’s condition. But I want to show you how it’s difficult and how people risk their lives!

As you already know, the majority of illegal immigrants pay a smuggler to cross the border and to arrive where they want in the USA. When you say it like that, there are no problems. But it’s not so easy.

First of all, immigrants have to contact smuggler, for the Rodriguez family, it was simple because they lived in an immigrant area. Many people immigrated around them. It’s as everybody goals were to cross the border and live in the USA.

There is no problem to find a smuggler, they are everywhere and everybody knows them. Also, everybody is afraid by them because in the majority, they come from gangs! They are violent and ruthless.

When you’ll see a smuggler, you know it’ll be rude to reach your goal. Firstly you have to pay an important amount. Most of the time, people buy on credit, they have to repay smuggler when they‘ll find a job.

This travel is quite dangerous because in a first time it is illegal! If rangers catch you, you go in jail and of course you come back to your country! You’re not summoned to Court, you are quickly sent back.

In a second time, it’s unsafe because smugglers aren’t nice people. They are the opposite. They are here just to keep the money. They don’t care of people. They also can be violent because as I said they are part of gangs. Smugglers can also let you in the desert, alone. 

I crossed the border with the Rodriguez family and it was just less rude that I said. But it was unusual.  I spoke with the smuggler and he said that it was the first time he did it. So I understood he was a new recruit. 

Today, I want to talk about why people decide to immigrate in the USA. 

When I asked to Miguel why he wanted to leave Mexico and bring this family in the Usa, he looked me strangely. I remembered his answer, he said that I just had to look around me to know why he want to go to the Usa. 

Poverty, misery, violence, THIS is the daily life of many Mexicans. It's totally normal to immigrate, to hope a better future for his family! I think I'll do the same if I was in the same situation. 

When you look in the street we can see how people are afraid. Just one week after my arrival, two people were killed by the mafia. And there are no reasons to do it! 

People lives in the poverty and in the fear, they need a future, a better future! And it's for this that they do this dangerous and suicidal travel!

They are inspired by hope.

 First of all, I would like to introduce this sequence.

During 2 months, I joined an immigrant group. Let me explain !

With some contacts in Mexico, I was able to communicate with Fernando, my local referent. He managed to put me in touch with a Mexican family who wanted to enter illegally into the USA. 

I was so happy to meet this family ! Two weeks later,  I did it. 

It is the Rodriguez family. There are Fernanda and miguel with their three children : Amanda, Pablo and Juan. This is a lovely family who wanted to start a new life in a new country. This new country was the Usa. As many other people from South America, they believed that a new future was possible in this dream land ! 

When I met the Rodriguez family, I was shocked by their life's condition. I know that the world isn't an equitable land where all people have the same things but the main thing that shocked me were the violence. 

They live in in an area controlled by the ZETAS . This is an important gang who command in mexico, but I'll talk about it in another article. 

This meeting was important for me because I lived with them during 2 months. During this time, I shared their fear, their joy, their anxiety .. 

It was an incredible experience !!

I was absent during a long time. I apologize because I know that you missed me !

BUT it was for a good reason! I spent a moment into a group. Since many years, I wanted to see by my own eyes how people immigrated. How it is difficult for us to enter in our country which is so loved by them. The y spent all their hopes in this crossing.

With different articles, I'll show you how immigrants lives, how is the border cross, their hope and their fear.

Also, I'll explain you by different views immigrations problems .
